Still basically the same Viva. I compared this version with the prior one I still had on hand. This one has a slightly woven vs felted appearance and the side against the roll is slightly rougher or textured, while the outside face is slightly smoother. The inside face looks as if it might leave lint, maybe. Half sheet size is the same and both versions absorbed one ounce of water. Both seemed equally thick, judging by the amount of see-through-ness, both dry and wet. Both seemed equally tough wet. This version clings to the roll less firmly, too.Viva is the very best AND the least expensive paper towel available based on how long it lasts. It takes weeks to go through a roll, especially if you realize a sheet can be reused to wipe up more than one small mess while you cook and you need many fewer to clean up the big messes. Use one to dry a pot and leave it by the cutting board to wipe up. If you’re used to ordinary paper towels, there may be a period of adjustment, but try to take just one sheet instead of the 4 you may think you need; you can always get another. They can scrub an iron skillet or pat dry your food. They make the best handkerchief substitutes, too. One subscribe and save box lasts me about a year.

They’re tough and very absorbent. They’re great for post-cooking cleanup because they hold so much. I use cloth towels for typical wipe-up in an effort to reduce waste, but when it comes to cleaning grease or even wiping up oil/grease from pans to avoid it going down the drain I use paper towels. I end up having to easily use 2-3x more of the typical paper towel for cleanup and this definitely reduces this usage quantity. The select-a-size feature is great because they’re so sturdy that there’s typically no need to use a ‘full’ size. I have these on auto-ship.

As an oil painter, Viva are the gold standard for wiping brushes and whatever else you need a towel for while painting. I bought them for that purpose. I didn’t count on loving these paper towels for every other paper towel duty in my home. These paper towels are incredibly hardy, and perform much like a thin cloth towel. They last and last. I can rinse and reuse a towel to clean all the kitchen counters plus clean the stainless steel gas cooktop. All with one section of paper towels. I couldn’t do anything close with any other brand I’ve used.I love the select a size feature. For quick cleanups, one section is more than adequate. I’ve used one section in my swifter handle when I’m out if swifter cloths (which is always- I never buy those things), and used both sides of the towel to dust mop my wood floors. I use these to dust my home with a little spray wax, cleaned the tires on my car with no towel shredding, and scrubbed the filthy barbecue with bleach cleanser, rinsed it out, and scrubbed some more. These towels are tough yet soft, sturdy and disposable. They are soft enough to use as a napkin, and absorb like crazy.I buy mine by the case from Amazon subscribe and save every three or four months, and love saving 20% doing so.

I purchased the 12 roll package. The reviews were confusing. After comparing the different sizes I came to realize that the negative reviews were about the 6 roll package. There are different package sizes that you can choose from. This is where the confusion happens. They are not the same product. The 6 roll package is only 50 some sheets per roll, while the 12 roll package has close to 150 sheets per roll. Customers are reading the description of the 12 roll package, then choosing the 6 roll package without realizing that the description has changed. I don’t know if this is on purpose or merely a mistake. This needs to be corrected. I could easily have made the same mistake. It took me quite a while to figure this out. It is not immediately apparent. Thank you, Nancy Bettac Barton, grammacozy62

These are the best paper towels available. They work better than anything else we have tried short of actual towels.Let’s be real…even if you are working to be greener and less wasteful…you still want to have some paper towels on hand. Sometimes it’s just better to use something you can toss or burn than something that will get washed with your clothes…We’ve been using these for years…and will continue to do so for as long as they are available…unless by some miracle someone else comes out with something better.

I’ve been using these paper towels for decades. My mother used to swear by these also when I was a kid. Bottom line is, I truly believe they’re the best paper towel on the market. They are soft, they absorb well and the quality for the price is just fantastic. I actually don’t believe I ever knew they made this viva product in a “big roll”. Usually in the stores, I’d get a package of rolls that were much smaller than this. I’m really happy this particular paper towel by Viva come this way, and I’ll definitely continue to purchase them.

I have horrific allergies + a geriatric dog that now pees in the house! This means: I AM A PAPER PRODUCT NIGHTMARE! I have 2 rolls of Viva in my car at all times! I WILL NOT use ‘a tissue’ when in the midst of a full blown allergy attack! “Tissues” fall apart in your hands, spread snot and mucous all over your face, and are generally a total waste when it comes to allergies! Let’s not EVEN discuss mopping up dog urine!!! I LOVE Viva’s softness — even when I have a cold they do NOT make my nose raw and red! Love MY VIVA’s!!!!

The best price I can find for these paper towels! I’m more of a bargain shopper and less brand-loyal for most things, but these cloth-like Vivas are really all I buy anymore. They truly are very soft and flexible (I wouldn’t say it’s actually like cloth, but I see what they’re going for), and are more absorbent and strong than the crackly crinkly paper towels of the olden days. And I prefer the pick-a-size. Rarely do you actually need more than one smaller sheet, so the option is nice. This gigantic crate of paper towels is my jam! I get one of these, bring in a pack and put away all but the one roll in use in my laundry room. The rest stay in the garage until the next pack is called up to the big leagues.Seriously, MONTHS’ worth in this box. One thing sorted for the foreseeable future is a win to me!

These paper towels are AMAZING- they are SO soft and yet SO incredibly strong! This one went through our clothes washing machine on a HEAVY DUTY cycle!! If that doesn’t speak to its durability- I don’t know what does!! You can actually wash them out in the sink and use them again if you want to- it’s amazing!

Waxing poetic about paper towels might seem a bit much, but these are the paper towels sent from above! I am a huge fan!My son’ best friend insisted I buy them when he was helping me move a couple of years ago. I have bought no other kind since. They are a lot like cloth. They do not rip, tear, or fall apart easily ike cheap-o paper towels. Right now i am packing glassware and porcelain in them for another move. Then I will clean with them at the other end!I actually had someone visiting me recently who asked about my paper towels! How often does that happen? What can it hurt to try them once and see what they are like? If you don’t like them, at least you will use them and then go back to your old ones.
