I’ve used Rayovac alkaline batteries for several years for general use on kids toys, flashlights, radios, etc. They last an an acceptable length of time. And most importantly, there hasn’t been any acid leaks. That’s why I’m continuing to buy Rayovac batteries over other major brands for my everyday use. The other leading brands have ruined some of my devices from battery leakage that cause damaging corrosion. I believe Rayovac has recently applied updated naming to their alkaline batteries and these are the same trusted batteries. A 72 pack would last me a couple of years and these have a 10 year shelf life, which is plenty.

Still the best available (except Lithium) IMO! I refuse to even buy Energizer and Duracell now because they both deteriorate, right in the unsealed package, when the package says they’re good for another 2 years.. or they leak inside the product they’re in. Rayovac has NEVER done this, even when forgotten in something (like Halloween or other holiday item) and put away for a year, even two. These also plainly outlast the others in two items; my $500 camera (along with a simple 5mp one) and tach lights

We use a lot of AA batteries in our household primarily for small electronic devices. I’m always looking for high quality batteries at an affordable price. I found the best of both worlds with these Rayovac batteries. You receive 72 AA batteries for under $20, that’s a deal you won’t find at the big box store. The batteries are alkaline batteries and are considered long lasting. They claim to hold power for up to 10 years. I haven’t had them for 10 years so I can’t say whether or not that is true. The batteries last longer than Duracell and Energizer batteries, both brands that we have purchased in the past. The main use for AA batteries in our house is flashlights. My significant other is obsessed with flashlights and owns dozens of them. We always need AA batteries to power them. AA batteries never seem to last very long no matter what brand you buy it seems like we are always changing batteries. These batteries are designed so that they don’t leak inside of your devices like some cheaper brands of batteries, especially those made in China do. The Rayovac batteries are made in the USA using parts from both the USA and the rest of the world. At the end of the day these are high quality, long lasting, inexpensive AA batteries which are perfect for all of your battery eating devices.

Just ordered another pack. They last just as long as any other aa battery. No duds or issues.

For the sake of argument I will be comparing these to energizer batteries, since that is the other set of batteries I’ve used in the past with similar products. These are cheap (much cheaper if you buy in bulk when there’s no sale on the major brands). For me, my family goes through batteries faster than office party goes through a birthday cake! Especially with COVID, auto trashcans are being opened more often, remotes are getting more daily use, camping adventures lead to a need for lighting, etc. These batteries work great but their lifespan is definitely less than that of the energizer I used to use. But the fact that they are much cheaper on average kind of makes up for that difference.my recommendation would be, get these if you need batteries or don’t run through them on a monthly (multi-month) basis. If there’s a sale going on that makes the name brand…get those as they’ll likely last longer.

Honestly, for the most part, batteries. are batteries. But if you are a patriot, looking for products to purchase that are made in the USA, stick with Rayovac

I bought these ray o vac batteries and did a test. Bought 2 flashlights (exact same kind) and put 3 Duracells in one and 3 Ray o Vacs in the other. Left the flashlights on starting last Friday night at 8pm & they both died tonight within 5 minutes of each other. No more overpaying for the name!! Ray o Vacs work just the same for 30 cents each!!

These are very good quality batteries. I’ve used a major drug store chain batteries for years and they have always worked well with a long life. I bought another manufacturers on Prime that lasted half the time. I decided to try these and I’m not disappointed. I use AA’s for my game cameras that are in temperatures from below freezing to the 90s in direct sun. These Rayovacs have performed well with no short term power loss. There is a steady slow drain at an acceptable pace as they should be asthe cameras take hundreds a pictures a week. These are excellent quality batteries at a terrific price.

The price per unit point is hard to beat and these batteries have been tested and shown to be at the top of the back. An American based manufacturer is a rarity so I’ll continue to support these as long as they are available

I have been a life-long user of Energizer & Duracell batteries in my items(CD-walkman, remote controls, etc). The last 15-20 years, exclusively Energizer because they tended to be a little cheaper than Duracell. I even own one of those Energizer “Stop the Bunny Please” 🐇w/battery stuffed animals. The last few years Energizer slowly started to rise in price every time I needed some. So I did my research on other batteries, some I was familiar with like Rayovac. I loved the price and the reviews so I ordered and started the battery test before the Rayovac batteries arrived by putting my last two Energizer batteries in my TV remote control(wrote down date & time)to determine longevity. Then when the Energizer batteries were dead, I did the same with Rayovac batteries. The RESULTS! Energizer lasted 13 days(I’ve had them for two years but shelf life says 2028). Rayovac lasted almost (7) weeks. Rayovac outlasted Energizer by more than a month. I was SHOCKED! Energizer AA batteries lowest bulk pack price is .61 cents per battery and Rayovac is only .27 cents per battery. That’s $2.44/4pk for Energizer opposed to $1.08/4pk for Rayovac which is how I use to buy my batteries before I started buying batteries in bulk. I’m shocked yet excited because I just became a Rayovac customer. Sorry Energizer.
