I got this to use for my pig as a scratching post. She loves it.

I had looked all over for a particular brush to attach to a 5-foot stick handle to scrub floors with so I didn’t have to get on my hands and knees. This brush performed just fine. I couldn’t find it or something like it in any of the hardware stores or farm supply stores. AMAZON had it. -J-

I needed something really strong to clean a concrete area in my balcony I had been using for puppy potty training. When I opened the box I knew right away I had the right brush. A handle…..no thank you. I’m going to be scrubbing this mess on my hands a knees like my forefathers. The bristles are strong. No surprises there. You will be equal parts satisfied by the product and bothered that you are ready to tackle your chore. Good luck and god speed.

These brushes are great, whether you use them for their intended purposes as deck brushes or for some other purpose, their simple construction and stiff bristles will serve you well.Personally, I used four of them (and some other lumber) to make a boot scrubber, as shown in the photo. For that purpose, they work perfectly. The bristles are just stiff enough to scrape off the mud or dirt, but not so abrasive as to scuff my boots. With that in mind, it’s also safe to say they’re well-suited to scrubbing dirt from a deck without scuffing the deck surface as well.

I leave this thing outside all year long to sweep off the retaining walls of my raised gardens and borders and stone benches. Flower petals, dried leaves and berries, grass clippings are all scraped off the coarse pavers. Bristles are very stiff, which is vital for the task. One will usually last me a few years before I go ahead and order another one. You could screw a broom handle into the hole but I have never bothered because the stuff I’m scrubbing is usually closer to knee and waist height.

I bought this (Quickie Union Mix Deck Scrub) and the slightly more expensive Weiler 44026 10″ brush to compare. The Quickie works better, mostly because of the short bristle length. The longer bristles on the Weiler tend to bend more, which makes it less effective, and as it gets older they bend more so it wears out and becomes less effective faster. The Quickie has a mixture of types of bristle, including both natural and artificial fibers. It’s more likely to scratch a softer surface than the Weiler. I use it on my wood deck and it’s perfect. It’s a lot less harsh on the deck than the power washer I had been using (but yeah, a lot more work too!)I’m tempted to get another one and mount it upside down to use as a boot scrubber.

I bought this brush with this suggested handle Rubbermaid Commercial Products FG636400LAC Lacquered-Wood Handle With Threaded Metal Tip,$7.12I am a 71 yr old woman in mediocre shape and had a dangerously slimey wooden pool deck and steps. I filled an almost empty bottle of Dawn dish soap with hot water, shook it up and squirted it on the deck while scrubbing in with this little brush. Squirted it off with the pressure attachment on my hose ($12.99Heavy Duty Garden Hose Twist Nozzle, Proven Classic Design, Solid Brass Adjustable Power Sprayer Brand: Yard Maxx )and now I have a clean safe surface! I didn’t want a brush that was too heavy for me or too large for my steps….this one was perfect, inexpensive and shipping was very fast!

I bought this to use with an old broom handle to sweep the sidewalk out front. I leave peanuts for the squirrels, and they are pretty messy eaters, leaving bits of shell all over. So once a week, I just go out and use this to sweep it all up. I had tried using a regular broom in the beginning, but the bristles just weren’t stiff enough. With this bad boy, I get it done in just a few minutes.

I already had a standard threaded wooden handle. It took me multiple tries and quite a bit of pressure to get this screwed in. I was being too gentle. Get the angle lined up right, then push and screw at the same time.

Use it to brush off fire wood before I bring in for our fireplace insert woodstove. 90% of our heat comes from stove in living room. Wife loves the Miami temp in New England, but not the dirt & dust. This brush keeps it to a minimum. If I were a lot younger, I’d buy a box of them. Really well made.
