Bobbie Newcomb –
My husband started a job 7 years ago working in a kiln keeping fire going. Came home and smelled like ash. So much ash in his clothes. Regular washing didn’t work. I researched and found Persil. Was surprised it was around the price of Tide. It is good but didn’t kick the ash. I tried it got his clothes and was happy with the results. I have totally switched to washing everything with Persil. I have a 5 gallon bucket of washing powder that I now use to clean other stuff with. I wish Persil made a fabric softener because I would use it too. Best money I have spent in a long time. I love the smell of the laundry washing now.

I’m picky in general about how I do my laundry and that includes laundry detergent. Persil is my favorite, hands down. Everything comes out clean, whites stay white (I sort those out though and wash with light colors), colors stay bright and I wear a lot of black and no fading. My work clothes get absolutely gross, my jeans get this grimy film on them you can feel after one shift and I get all kinds of spills and dirt on my work clothes. I don’t have to pretreat or add anything else to my wash and it all comes out clean, no stains (I’ve gotten coffee on white undershirts, blue icee syrup from a broken bib, motor oil, diesel fuel, god knows what from a leaking garbage bag, a lot of stuff I’ll just put it that way) and they smell nice but not strong. I have very sensitive skin and eczema, I’ve never had a problem with this causing flare ups.I use the washing machines at my apt that are older top load machines, nothing special, or machines at the laundromat. The only other detergent it’s comparable to is Tide but Tide is not good in comparison. I have to sit around and pretreat, etc. if I use that.

OK, I’m weird. I call myself an “for pay amazon product tester”, in that I tend to get quite a few of the same product and compare pretty often! And I pay for all the products.Recently I needed laundry soap yet again. So I did some research and bought 7 different products that were reviewed highly in other reviews from reputable sources. This is probably my favorite overall. I’ve not used it on heavily soiled fabrics, this is the one I’ll use for clothes and linens. It seems to clean well and gently, and leaves a nice very light scent.I think I like the ajax for soiled items like rags and work clothes, it’s cheaper and works well.

As much as I love the ecofriendly product I used to buy here I found that after about a year of working in a food service job it just wasn’t getting the smell out of my uniforms. Stale grease is a terrible smell to be overpowered by when you put on a freshly laundered shirt. I tried several special products designed to get such odors out with very little success. Then one day I was frustratedly looking at options in the store when a man there randomly recommend Persil. It was a brand I had seen but never tried before. Since it was a reasonably priced choice with lots of purported benefits I bought a bottle to try expecting it wouldn’t help when expensive products designed for greasy odors hadn’t. It wasn’t a complete cure at first but there was a significant decrease after just one wash. Since then I’ve gone on to use the Subscribe and Save option here so that I never run out. It’s great for grease and food odors has only slightly increased the fading rate on my black uniform pants versus my eco-friendly favorite, and has been a good choice for all of my laundry since. I wish I could thank that random stranger who said it was the best because it totally saved my sanity to not smell bad in clean clothes. I very much recommend Persil and this concentrated version in particular since it saves a lot of space in my laundry room.

This detergent is super-concentrated so it only takes a small dosage for normal loads (half the cap). The scent is slightly different from the Persil Original you can buy in the stores which I find to be a good thing. It smells a bit more like the original German variant; Persil Universal-Gel. Finally, this detergent will last a long time if you follow the dosing instructions.

I started using the original Persil laundry detergent after reading strong recommendations from a leading consumer testing site and have been very happy with its cleaning effectiveness. I wash standard family clothing, with food stains, yardwork, etc. No auto mechanics or similar challenging tasks very often! I decided to try this version because my usual pick was out of stock, and I like it even better. It washes as well as my usual version, and the scent is NOT too strong. The best part, though, is the dispensing cap. Unlike the previous version and many other detergents, it screws on tightly. You can use the cap to measure the amount of detergent you will use, or, as I do, you can easily pour directly into your washer. A VERY nice improvement!

I use Persil laundry detergent for everything and will not change. My issue is the last time I purchased the product it was ship to me with a broken top and it leaked all over the box. Then when I contacted the company; pictures weren’t good enough; they wanted me to return the package. The problem was UPS would not accept the package because it was dripping with laundry detergent; but yet it was delivered to me that way. I still have yet to be refunded for the faulty product.

Love this laundry detergent, cleans everything the first time. Clothes smell great. I swore by Tide years ago and once I tried this, I never looked back. A bit of spillage occurred with this delivering creating a slight mess and extra job to clean up.

I purchased this after receiving a free sample from a local grocer. Normally would never think to spend this amount of money on a single bottle of detergent, but the scent was the most alluring factor and as it is enough for three months of laundry, I justified it.The scent is still as I remember it. For some reason, other brands I’ve used in the past eventually end up smelling bad after a few months ( the PRODUCT is fine, but my nose is NOT). Even the big brands “pods” have started to leave a scent that makes me think I left something in the machine too long (when I run a wash and dry load in under two hours- so that is impossible) And I WASH my washing machine once a week out of precaution!!!But Persil still smells CLEAN. And I’m further impressed but that fact that the little amount I need to use in my machine is actually HALF of what the “pod” contains! Stains are lifted, less to rewash, and I have more of my days back! The only thing that could make this better is if the price could come down, even a smidge. But knowing what I know now, I’m glad I used subscribe and save – so I only have to feel that sting once

this is the best detergent on the market: better than Tide. Although not a bargain brand, it is a good value b because it cleans so well. Takes blood out of fabric even in hot water. Washes stains out of fabric, even old set in stains. Don’t like highly scented detergent and the scent is OK and not strong.
