How to Apply

PULL APART ONE TUBE AND HOLD:Hold the tube with the notched end pointing up and away from the face and body. |
CUT:Use scissors to cut off the narrow end at the notches along the line. |
PART HAIR:Invert tube over dog and use open end to part dog’s hair. |
APPLY:Squeeze tube firmly to apply all the solution between the dog’s shoulder blades down the middle of the dog’s back. Do not apply the topical near the dog’s tail. Keep your pet dry and away from other pets for 24 hours. |

I got this topical flea and tick ointment for my 75 lb Husky.Seems very comparable to brand name and has the same ingredients. He’s just under the weight here and so I applied only half a dose on him a few days ago. I did research and this is ok to do so in reality this will last me 6 months.The price is right and my dog doesn’t seem to be as itchy.Hoping it lasts the entire month. I will update if it doesn’t but I don’t foresee any issues.

We have a Bassett and a Beagle and live in the country. They are constantly going into the woods hunting on our place. This is the first year they haven’t been covered in fleas and ticks no matter what we’ve used on them. I haven’t found any fleas and only a couple ticks and those were dead, and I check them daily.

A good product that is really effective. It’s a 3 month supply. A topical treatment that you apply like similar brands. It goes to work fast killing fleas. It has kept them away and I’m pleased with the product.

We have used Capstar products for a while now and we’ve always been happy with the results. We’ve used different kinds of flea and tick treatments but this one has been effective and non-irritating. Of course when putting it on it can get a little messy but nothing to difficult. The liquid comes out really fast so you have to be careful about that but so far this has really worked with our dog Millie, we haven’t seen any fleas since using this and she hasn’t been scratching like she was. We will keep using this product to see how it holds up for 3 months but so far we really like it and would recommend!!

I was looking for something flea protection wise and this hits the mark. Very easy to use. Simply put on from the base of the neck to the tail. I know many just do the base of the neck but I’ve always dragged it all the way down to the tail as I apply.This is great to stop fleas and ticks. I start in March and run till November. I hate fleas. This is extremely well priced and does the job. My vets office was over $25 a month for ONE dose. This is three doses! It works great. I am on my third dose now and the dog has no fleas! No ticks. My lab weighs at just under a hundred pounds.Highly recommend.

Nextstar is a 30-day flea-prevention product. It’s easy to apply, between the shoulders and along the spine. I try to avoid petting my dogs until the “medicine” dries as a precaution. It does a good job of preventing fleas, although I like to start with Capstar, which eliminates fleas overnight. Capstar only lasts 24 hours, but its a great headstart on getting rid of and thus preventing fleas for several weeks. I use these products mostly in Spring and Summer, since I don’t really have a flea problem in the colder months. That helps keep the price more affordable and reduces the use of flea prevention to only as needed.

This Nextstar version has one more ingredient (cyphenothrin) than the Pet Action and Pet Armor I’ve used successfully in the past. So maybe it works better but obviously it’s hard to scientifically test that. The extra ingredient also increases the chances of a side effect so there is that to consider.If you know how to measure out the doses, you could save some money by getting the larger size and keeping the extra in an amber vial.

I found this topical flea treatment very easy to apply. We had previously been using flea collars for our dog, but since we have kids now we don’t want them touching the collar and potentially getting the medication on their hands. This liquid only took 15 seconds to apply, and I love that the one pack will last 3 months. Great value!

I do not have a serious flea/tick issue but when I notice my two dogs starting to bite at them selves I know it is time to treat them.Very easy to apply, like most flea preventatives you apply to the skin between their shoulder blades. I also put a drop just above their tail.MAKE SURE YOU READ ALL OF THE PACKAGE INFORMATION before applying and information regarding cats.
