Worth the price, to not have any mess under the food trays. Every single seed is eaten. No hulls. No mess. No waste. No problems at all. From the larger Blue Scrub Jays down to the tiny young lime-green Lesser Finches – they all love this sunflower seed with no shells. They know what it is, and come back all day long for more. Have fun backyard birding!

The birds here in NYC love these sunflower hearts! I have to buy about 2-3 bags of this stuff every month, because our feeders go empty within 1-2 days. I love it, because there is no mess with this bird food. There are no seed hulls or spilled seed to worry about. Whatever few pieces fall to the floor, ground feeders like mourning doves and also squirrels immediately eat it up.The seed hearts/chips are always perfect with this company. They are the perfect size. I’ve tried other brands, and they make much smaller chips that tend to get stuck and clog up my feeders. So, I always purchase from this brand–although pricey, I think it’s worth it.

I am in the North East of the US and this seed gets me the most. The birds even seem to love it more than the nyjer. I get golden finches, house finches, wood peckers, cardinals, blue jays, catbirds, tufted, and even got an oriole. Can’t say enough about this seed.

Great no-waste wild bird food. Mostly whole sunflower seeds, some parts. Unlike some of the other brands. Always seems fresh, no shells, no dirt, no rocks, no stems, etc. Seems to keep really well, too. Even once bag is open.

We keep a good supply of this seed on hand ! It makes our birds happy and does not grow under the feeder, no hulls to clean up either . Having it deliverd to our door is a plus for old folks!

New feeder. Springtime in Pacific Northwest. They swarmed to this. They were lined up in the trees. Traffic all day. Unfortunately they were eating 5-10 pounds a week. That got expensive fast. I’ve substituted Morningsong mix (I like the ones that are already shelled so much less mess.) Traffic trickled to zero. I checked the feeder to see if the new feed was blocked up. No, it was flowing freely. And those birdies had carefully pecked out the sunflower seeds and left the rest. Now I get a few visitors a day. This is sad. What to do?

My bird friends love this product. It is waste free as advertised – no shells to sweep up. However this high quality comes at a cost. I find it affordable at present but any future price increase will lose me as a customer.

My chickens love these, vitamin E is good for them and seeds are whole, nicely packaged.

The sunflower hearts are expensive, but there is no waste or mess. Anything that falls to the ground is eaten by the ground feeders. The bird feeder we have the sunflower hearts in has small apertures so the birds cannot pig out at any one time.

The local house finches can’t get enough of these! I have to refilled my feeder so much more often than I used to because they eat the seeds so fast, but that’s ok because I know they love it so much! Less messy than the shelled seeds, tho still a little messy because the birds are messy eaters.
