This little dual speaker and sub woofer set really exceeded my expectations. This is day one, so if anything changes, I will update. The sound that this puts out is amazing for a $40 price tag. The one thing I’d be careful of is the subwoofer is exposed and is on the bottom of the enclosure. I do wish there was a protective cover just in case it were to get knocked over or a curious cat punctures it with their claws. My cats have destroyed many things I own and I know they could easily tear the exposed speaker apart if they get to it..lol. Besides that, sound is great, good bass/treble mix. It’s very loud for the size, much louder and better bass than any tv for sure. I’ve never understood that about tv’s, even the top of the line models have terrible sound. I paid almost $2,000 for my Samsung tv and immediately bought a sound system. Anyway, this little set could easily be used to enjoy a movie with the added bass. It’s a must buy for the price. Connects via 3.5mm jack. Sorry I didn’t include pictures, especially of the exposed woofer. I’m sure you can find a pic online or in another review.

I didn’t expect a lot from such a low-cost product. I bought it for my #2 computer. But was very pleasantly surprised. It doesn’t have Bluetooth–but, I don’t want Bluetooth. It doesn’t have bass/treble/midrange controls–but I am happy to use tone controls in my music player software. The “woofer” is small–but is really not bad.For optimum results you might consider driving it with music player software that has a graphic EQ built in. A 10-band EQ on my music player works well. I boost the low bass and cut the 4K band which is a little shrill. If you don’t like wires, you have a problem. There’s a power cord, and wires to the tweeters, which connect to the woofer. Another wire goes between the woofer and the audio output jack on your computer. Midway on this wire is a volume control that you can set on your desk, like a mouse. The volume control also has an on-off button so you can switch off the audio if you wish. Personally I don’t mind the wires; I neaten them with some double-sided Velcro. I’m happy that I don’t need any batteries for this setup. The power output is just sufficient (claims 25W per channel, maybe it’s a bit less than that). And the sound quality, I have to admit, is in some ways better than the pricey AudioEngine desktop speakers that I have with my #1 computer. This is really amazing value for money.

They work surprisingly well! I thought for the price that they would be a little tinny and faded, but I was wrong. They were clear, and had booming bass. The highs and lows were quite clear, and the bass was excellent. I dont have to turn it to full volume either. I found that just turning them up a tad bit gives me all the sound I need. I had it on medium, and I hear them from downstairs! They also look great on my setup.

The media could not be loaded.  So little speakers. They are for my second gaming computer. It’s for my buddy when he comes over. They do the job. They are not bad at all for being a small speaker and bass set. Desk speakers are about as tall and wide as an IPhone 9 I think is what I have. The bass takes up about 1 square foot of floor space and is about 1 foot tall. I like the desktop wired remote for it.

I just set up these speakers and had to write a review because they are such a good value. These speakers are amazing for the price. I was a little nervous about what I would get for $29. My other computers have Bose Companion speakers but I did not want to spend $100 on speakers for a laptop computer I keep in my hobby room just for occasional reference and background music. Keep in mind, I do not expect performance like I get from my primary stereo with big Klipsch Heresy speakers and a lot of power but for office or laptop speakers these are great. The sound is crisp and clear and I can hear little nuances that I expected to be muddy on these inexpensive speakers. I do not consider myself an audiophile but I do know what sounds good and these do. My sub-woofer is not boomy like some reviewers have mentioned. I put it right beside my 2nd monitor rather than on the floor and it sounds great. All components have long cords and the remote power/volume with headphone jack is a very nice feature that I put right above my mouse pad. Right now I am listening to some jazz guitar on Pandora and I can’t believe how good it sounds. I set the volume on my laptop at 50% and use the remote to control my listening volume. At that setting it will play louder than I can get away with if my wife is home. At high volumes, the sound stays clear, the speakers do not buzz, the bass stays balanced and I do not hear any clipping on the high notes. I really can’t believe that these speakers only cost $29. Neil Young’s Southern Man just started playing and the snare is coming through very clean behind the piano and lead guitar. You usually get what you pay for these days but with these speakers you are getting a sound quality that would compare to speakers for 3 to 4 times the price. Granted every environment produces different sound. I have my speakers about 2 feet away from me to the left and the right on a built-in desk and a wall right behind them so I am probably getting some reflected sound. The subwoofer is sitting just inside the right speaker. For kicks, I just put on some vintage disco stuff on Pandora and the bass still sounds good and at the right level and the balance is good here too. I am not using any equalizer software and just plugged the input jack into my headphone jack and starting testing different types of songs. These speakers seem very versatile since they sound good on a broad range of genres that I tested. I don’t write many reviews on Amazon but thought this one was worth my time to tell people about a great value. By the way, Let It Whip by Dazz Band still sounds good after all these years on these little speakers, the intro on BTO’s Let It Ride still rocks and the Gypsy Kings guitars sound great too. I know, now I ‘m really letting my age show. If you are on a tight budget or just don’t want to spend more than you have to, these are a great option and I think you will be happy with them. My wife says the speakers are too loud and I have to come to bed now. Good night.

I purchased this Logitech system to replace a similar Cyber Acoustics system that finally became too problematic. Both systems have control pods which is what drew me to them. I really like the convenience of having the volume switch close at hand. The reason that I prefer this system to the Cyber Acoustics is that the speakers are compact and well balanced with the weight at the bottom. The Cyber Acoustic speakers were top heavy and easily got knocked over. I think the wiring was eventually knocked loose and the speakers malfunctioned as did the power control which continually turned itself on even when the pc was hibernating. The sound is good in both systems but I prefer this Logitech system simply because of the design of the speakers. Hopefully, the fact that they do not get tipped over as easily will mean that this system lasts longer than the Cyber Acoustics system.

Low Volume Issues!? Read below for insta-fix!They are great speakers, however, they did not come with any instructions or pictures… I know what you may be thinking, “they are just speakers… Plug them in and listen” :) well I missed the Speaker Output on the rear of the subwoofer and instead plugged them into the headphone jack on the little corded remote. I was devastated when I could barely hear a song playing. I messed with Realtek settings and other various audio controls on my PC with little-to-no improvement.I had given up and was unplugging everything to send back(Let’s be real… I was pissed!) This would’ve been the first Logitech item I had an issue with. Then I saw ‘Speaker Output’ there on the back of the subwoofer, I plugged it all back together and it was GLORIOUS!Low Volume Issues!? Read above for insta-fix!

I just needed something to hook up to my computer while I game and listen to music. These are quite small, but they can produce sound plenty loud enough for me. I even turn it up so that my wife and I can listen throughout the house while doing chores. And they sound pretty good for what they are and the price. They plug straight into the speaker output on the back of your computer or I suppose you could plug these into your mobile device, but they do have to be powered through an AC power plug. Which, mine is just plugged into my power surge protector for my computer. The sub is nice to add just enough low end to the music and games/movies. I have the volume control placed under my computer monitor, which I find to be very convenient. You can plug headphones into this if you like. Although, unless you have cheap headphones, you’re going to be better off plugging headphones directly into the computer for more power. I’ve had these for several weeks now and I really like it. I would buy again for sure.

This is a great set of speakers! I was originally going to go with the Z333 setup but since it was $60 I decided to go with this one Instead since it also has a woofer and let me tell you guys, these do not dissapoint. My volume is currently set to 10 and that is enough to fill the room with some pleasant bass and super clear highs and mids. The cables are nice and long so they can actually have some space between them. The control knob to turn on the speakers is a very nice touch. It has a scroll wheel to control the volume on its left side, which I keep maxed out to be able to fully control the volume through my computer. It also has a 3.5 mm jack on the fromt to plug in some headphones and that is awesome. Note: this will NOT amplify the sound for the headphones, it is simply just a passthrough, so the speakers do not have to be on to send sound to your headphones if you plug them in there.Overall this is a very solid setup that I recomment to anyone who’s looking for some quality speakers with good sound for cheap.

I just received this unit and set it up. The bass is great–plenty of bass (that’s what I’m looking for in a computer/TV speaker) even though it is a cheap set. My TV has treble and bass controls that allow me to attenuate the rumble that one gets from too much bass on a cheap speaker–an equalizer or tone control is essential for a normal-sounding bass. The tweeters leave a bit to be desired, but I can add the missing frequencies by going back and forth between the TV’s bass and treble controls. In the $30 price range you will be hard-pressed to get any better of a bass sound. Fortunately, the speakers have too much bass rather than too little. If you don’t have access to an equalizer or some other tone control you may be disappointed in the balance between bass and treble coming from these speakers.Pros: If you have tone controls, you may be pleasantly surprised at the bass sound. There is a long (about 5 feet) wire connecting the two speakers; they can be separated for better left/right separation. This is the third day, and I am satisfied with the sound. The bass is super.Cons: It is not USB power; it has to be plugged into an AC outlet and turned off and on manually at the “remote” on/off switch that is wired into the unit. Otherwise 5 stars. The tweeters are a bit thin-sounding at first. However, with an equalizer, one can adjust the bass downward and use the treble controls to balance the two and get the mid-ranges that are missing. Give these speakers a few days to exercise their voice coils, and you will be able to get an almost theater sound.Update: I raised this to 5 stars because of the great sound these speakers make after a few “break-in” days, especially when watching movies. They cover the wide dynamic range easily. I don’t know if it makes a difference, but I had my TV and the speakers in a corner which might cause the reflected sound of the two walls that form the corner to add some body to the sound.Just one more little update: I was a recording engineer for a major studio, and I can honestly say I have never heard a better pair of speakers in this price range. They remind me of the studio speakers–no kidding. Just give them a few days to break them in and play with whatever tone controls you have, and you will be amazed at the sound. If you have no tone controls, all bets are off.
