Updated October 2016: A year later including heavy usage, and lots of washing. Plus lots of running and play in rainy western Oregon and this vest is still going strong. A friend made a sweater for her as a moving present and in the real cold I layer it, and it works great. She’s also now 28lbs (but still long and lanky) and the XL still fits great. In fact I just ordered another one, and I’ll probably order a third (my dog has so little body fat she gets cold terribly easy). It is both affordable and well made. I recommend them to all my friends with small dogs.My dog is weirdly shaped – she’s long and lanky, 22lbs. At her chest she’s 22″ and her neck is 15″. I bought the XL for her and it fits pretty well. It drifts off her neck some, but that’s okay. I definitely need to get her something warmer for winter, but this should work for fall and spring in the Willamette Valley of Oregon.My one concern is the leash holder on the back, I’m not sure how well it will hold up. I have concerns that if she tries to take off quickly, that the fabric will rip.

I have a 10.7 lb chorkie. The medium is a perfect fit for him. I would have expected the small for him, but I used the measurements and chose medium. It fits perfect and I think he can grow to the 12-13 pounds the vet expects. He’s only 6 months old now. So I think he will grow more. It’s Not hard to get on and off and keeps his chilly, shivering self a bit warmer on cold mornings. Absolutely perfect except… it’s a bit of a ‘’DO’ to put on my little gentleman, there isn’t a zipper or buttons, or velcro. You basically slip it over their head and then you hope your dog is limber enough to do a tight bend of the front legs to get them through the leg holes. And, then it’s on. And, it’s a adorable. My Westie is 16.5 lbs. so I purchased the size for 15-20 lbs. To be honest though, if my Westie were any larger I most likely would have to had returned it for a larger size.But, I love it, it’s the perfect weight, once on it’s cute, the color blue is lovely and the leash hook is perfect.Just a word of caution, if your dog is unruly don’t think that hook is going to protect your dog.

My boy dog hates anything with sleeves, so I was excited to find this cute fleece vest! He loves it! Based on the size chart and customer reviews, I ordered a large. Teddy is a Beagle/terrier mix (prob Rat or Jack Russell) and weighs approximately 17 lbs. I love the added benefit of the O ring for attaching his leash. I ordered the Honey Musterd in hopes of matching his Purdue University black and gold collar, and it looks great! It is a slightly lighter yellow than shown in the color choices (see my photos), which is what I hoped for. It does take a minute to figure out the easiest way to put this on, but I had no problem once I did – feet through the arm holes and then over his head. I have not washed it yet, but the vest appears to be of a quality comparable to much more expensive vests! It is important to understand that the sizing chart is entirely based on SMALL dog breeds (ie: teacup siz-e dog is prob an XS while a Boston Terrier is likely XL – Read the the sizing info -it is very clear and I don;t understand the negative comments/reviews regarding it!)

We now have 4 Gooby fleeces for our MinPin/Chihuahua mix. Moving from California to Minnesota, we knew he would be in for the shock of his life. He loves these and wears them all the time. He many times won’t let us take them off (little stinker). We layer them under a winter parka w/winter dog booties which were a requirement once the weather dropped below zero… and especially last week with the polar vortex. He had his Gooby fleece hoodie up covering his ears, his doggie parka over that, and his doggie boots on to run outside and “do his business ” as quickly as possible and run right back in the house. Gooby fleeces ROCK! We found that the size small dog medium work best on him for layering… and the small dog large are a little roomier and work best for around the house or fall/spring weather (they fit a little better and not like a tight muscle shirt on him).

Very pleased with this purchase! Fits our little Yorkie perfectly! She is 6 lbs, neck circumference of 8 inches and chest circumference of 13.5 inches, I ordered a small and it’s perfect with a little extra room around the neck. We also ordered it in pink! Hopefully she will be nice and warm this winter!

Medium is the perfect fit for our 8lb chihuahua! We always have issues with his clothes and he’s always cold so it’s important we find clothes he can wear all the time. Also ordered this in a large and my dog wears it over his other clothes kind of like a fleece jacket. Definitely recommend!!

I love this fleece. It fits all of my dogs really well. It’s light enough that my cold-natured dogs can comfortably wear it in the house and not get too warm. I have 3 different size dogs I purchased this product for, and here was my experience with sizing:All of my dogs are fit and in good weight, which should be taken into account if you are choosing a size compared to my pups.I have three terriers, the largest is 20lbs, the smaller ones are 13lbs and 10lbs.The 20lb dog required a size XL.I originally purchased the same size for the 10lb and 13lb terriers, but the M on the 13lb terrier was like a muscle shirt, way too tight.The 13lb dog required a size L.The 10lb dog required a size M.I hope these pictures for size comparisons help :)

I didn’t have high hopes for this as sometimes my boy is hard to fit but the Gooby everyday fleece is great. Fits him perfectly. Sweaters don’t fit him so well, the pits usually ride up under his arms and I will not let my dog be uncomfortable so I usually end up returning those ones. But the armholes are cut wide so no problem there. This sweater is snug and doesn’t have any stretch so it’s a little harder to get over his head than most but it’s worth it. So make sure you get the right size. The harness feature is one of the big pluses and there’s plenty of clearance for him to pee.My boy is 15 lbs and has a shitzhu build. He’s a terrier mix. According to their dress size he should be a medium which fits the shitzhu breed but I got the large and it fits him just right. It’s warm, soft and appropriately long down his back so it’ll be great for the California winter nights. Please see pictures attached.UPDATE: if your dog is a runner, do not use the d ring attached to the sweater. My dog went after a cat and it ripped off with little effort. I attach his leash to a collar when he wears this sweater out.UPDATE: this sweater has no stretch so I don’t leave it on my dog when he’s laying around the house. I like something stretchy on him for maximum comfort.

Originally ordered medium for my jack russell, too small. He’s short and chesty. I ordered large, it fit length… but it was little tight around his chest. (he’s only 10lbs) I put it on my miniature pincscher (7lbs, petite) and it actually fits her perfectly!
