Miss Hart –
Great knife block for young adults/first time homeowners. Not the best quality but it was under 20 bucks so its great for that price. The knives rust easily, so make sure to handwash and hand-dry completely before putting back on the block. The steak knives are kind of flimsy and light but they are sharp! I have better knives in my drawers but this is my first knife block set I’ve bought on my own. Its a great first knife block and do recommend to those for their first too if you want to save up for a super nice one first later down the road.

The knives cut, the measuring spoons measure, the rubber things do their rubbery doing thing. One small flaw though, I have one knife too many. Doesn’t really sound like a bad thing, but it’s just kind of floating around my kitchen like a sad orphan. Maybe it’ll become batman one day though so who knows.

Excellent! Im so glad i purchased this set despite the bad reviews. The price is great and there was no rust or damage. Great buy.

This knife block was perfect. It’s not big and doesn’t take up much space on my counter which is a plus since I have so many things on my counters and we all know counter space can be limited. I did have some confusion as to what knives went where (smaller ones) but I guess I have it figured out and the extra pairing knife went into the drawer. Totally happy. Now hopefully they truly remain sharp and don’t get dull as they are supposed to not need sharpening.

So impressed! I was hesitant because of the reviews but I’m so glad I got this. I’m weird but I loved the smell of the wood. So real. Already used a knife or 2, they are great and sturdy. Even came with an extra knife I was able to slide in with the scirrors. I would personally expect this to be more expensive. Love it alot! I recommend!!

My wife said she wanted a new knife set. She likes good deals. This checked both boxes. My wife is now happy and I look great in her eyes. Spouses, get this for your partner. You won’t regret it. It’s been about 6-8 months now and they still hold up even though I’m horrible and put them in the dishwasher – or so my wife says. Aint nobody got time to hand wash.

Medium quality, low cost sharp knives. Storage block is a bit skimpy but useable. Includes scissors, extra paring knife and measuring utinsels. Great for beginning cooks or daily use. Not quite a professional chef set but way better than using cheap knives. Slices tomatoes, etc… easily. I like them!

Does what it’s meant to do. If your looking for simple knives that can be used in your new little place…sturdy, pretty sharp, and actually cuts. This is a good bet. If you a pro chef, wanna go pro, or you cook ALLLOOOTT….Stop looking at the cheap stuff and invest in something that will be perfect for you and will last a LONG time. These are cheap knives, but are pretty great for the price!!! Mine was not rusted, or broken upon arrival or any of that crap. If your looking for something to use without spending Miyabi Birchwood type price…these will do. :) your welcome. :)

If you can afford the few extra dollars to buy the Amazon basics set I would advise you to do so. If you can’t, which was my financial situation when I first bought these, don’t expect the world. I’ve had them for nearly two years so I think I can comment on their performance. They’re a usable set best suited for college students, first time renters, or people who cook just on occasion. You’ll never need to sharpen them because they arrive dull and always will be so (you’ll never have to worry about losing a fingertip.) I didn’t experience rusting until I threw them in the dishwasher, but I did so not particularly caring if they did happen to as I could scrub it off with a metal sponge. The steak knives do their job with little fanfare. The chefs knife, paring knife, and bread knife are far too dull to do anything other than look pretty in the block. The scissors are decent as kitchen scissors–NOT shears. Otherwise you may end up like the reviewer who managed to break theirs. The real gem in this set is the santoku. I regularly use the santoku for most of my chopping needs and it performs pretty well. As long as you keep in mind that these knives aren’t full tang and will snap at the joints if you apply a lot of pressure, you’ll be fine.

Don’t expect knives straight from a michelin restaurant. You’re buying a decent set of knives. I’ve got one rivet thats got a slight bit of play in it, but the knife’s handle isn’t going to fall apart. They look great, handle well, and don’t cut into the budget. Perfect for a college kid, someone on a budget, or someone who doesn’t care for top of the line prices.I’ve recommended these and bought a 2nd set. I’m a fan!
