A Chandler, Mr –
i have used this brand of batteries in the past! it’s too soon to say how long these will last, but, i feel they will probably do well in remotes and most low current devices since most batteries die faster in high current or continuous use devices! i only use standard alkaline batteries in low current devices—-period! for high current devices such as my portable soldering gun, i only use high current panasonic rechargeable batteries! sometimes i’ll interchange the two if the device doesn’t abuse the capacity of the batteries in question! i’ve used duracell c-size alkaline for my bathroom gojo soap dispenser for 4 years successfully a year per each 3 c-size! but, again batteries are a hit and miss since most people only weigh the cost, length of use, etc… but, don’t worry about storage of batteries prior to purchase and after purchase! all batteries are subject to deterioration in hot and sometimes colder weather because the battery contains chemicals that react and interact with each other to create the energy needed to make them work! chemicals are definitely affected by temperature, so it stands to reason that batteries would be too!

After many of the off brands or minor store name less expensive brands of batteries that my husband buys that lasted a short amount of time or leaked and made things no longer usable, I decided not to listen to advertisers or ratings by other, I decided to do a study of batteries. With 2 different kinds of battery testers I decided to test all of the future batteries we would buy, including any and all leading brands I tested them new, right out of the package and I also checked the expiration dates put on them by the manufacture. The only ones I found to be fully 100% charged right out of the package are Energizer batteries.

The voltage cap of a AAA is 1.65. If it tests in this range then you can expect maximum performance and longevity. The many reviews that stated the batteries didn’t last brought some concerns so I tested every one.I am sure there are some bad batches out there but you can always return them. Many of mine tested at a full 1.65 and nothing lower than 1.6 so I am confident they will work as expected. Great price. I would rather use renewable but honestly I have never gotten decent performance from AAA rechargeables. They do not discharge evenly, many die long before their promised cycles, they leak and have a considerably lower nominal voltage. This is a great great price per unit for one of my most reliable brands of batteries.

Each group of 4 is packaged inside a smaller box, and then these, altogether, are slotted firmly into a larger box. While this might be somewhat advantageous for casting around in your purse, pocket or glove compartment, the excessive (& wasteful) packaging outweighs any tiny convenience. Thankful that theres was ZERO plastic, however! That was an amazing plus!Otherwise… they are Energizer batteries, exactly as advertised, and quick to arrive with Prime! :)

When I opened the package in 9/2020, each battery is labelled 12-2030 = over ten years advertised. In the past, I have received online orders from some, not all, 3rd party dealers that were “old” with only a couple of years left. Kudos to Amazon for sending brand new batteries. Also, each battery is made in the USA America, which is important to me. The price was a little higher than bazic versions with unknown brand names or recognizable brands that are made in non-democratic countries. IMHO, the quality control and warranties are hugely better in democratic countries on every continent. FYI, not an issue for me, the box of 48 batts had two boxes of 24 inside and each of them had 6 small boxes of 4 each. Easier to handle and store, keep a box near each remote control, flashlight, etc. Bottom-line: excellent product, price higher than the cheapest suspect brands …

I just received these today, so I can’t speak to the longevity of them, but I did test the voltage of all 48 batteries with a BK Precision Test Bench 388B multimeter. And despite all the reviews that said a lot of the batteries were dead and they were old stock, all of the batteries I received are at full capacity. The highest voltage measured was 1.627 VDC, and the lowest voltage measured was 1.617 VDC so they are all fully charged. The expiration date of all of the batteries I received are 12/2031. Even if someone received “old stock” as other reviewers have mentioned, the Energizer Max batteries are guaranteed to have a 10 year shelf life so I don’t see that as being an issue.I am very happy with this purchase and I do recommend these batteries.

I have read reviews about these batteries not being good, but I ordered a set of these AAA and tested each battery. They all tested at >1.63 volts All have date code 12 2028, and MADE IN USA written on batteries. The batteries are boxed with 4 AAA/box, with 6 of the sets of 4 in a long box, and two of the 24 battery box in a carton. There is no plastic packaging used, only cardboard boxes. I have seen these type boxes, used by installers of satellite gear, for remotes. As for this set, these are great batteries.

I could literally run around my room and verify repeatedly that I stick w/my little 🐰(pink) bunny when I want battery operated electronics to work, w/o fail… 𝙴𝚅𝙴𝚁𝚈𝚃𝙸𝙼𝙴! You can continue to engage in 𝑰𝑵𝑺𝑨𝑵𝑰𝑻𝒀, play the 𝚏𝚘𝚘𝚕𝚜 𝚎𝚛𝚛𝚊𝚗𝚍 and buy cheaper “no-name” batteries, hoping that they’ll work reliably when you need them most. Or play that other 𝑪𝑯𝑬𝑨𝑷 battery “classic-game”; keep swapping a “not-so-good” battery for a worse one hoping that you’ll (HIT) that magic combination that makes the item work. But, Life is Short. You deserve decent batteries in your devices. C’mon do it for yourself, do it for your family…and never have to sweat the subject again.

I have been using Energizer Batteries for about a year and a half. I moved to a new home and have lots of kitchen cabinet storage and pantry storage I did not have before. I purchased battery operated motion lights for inside of all of my cabinets, and in darker areas in my pantry. These lights last several months before having to replace the batteries and I attribute it to the long lasting Energizer batteries. I have tried other major brand batteries, but the Energizer batteries last longer for the same period of use. Purchasing them for $28 for a box of 48 is a great deal, when you compare to purchasing 14 of the same batteries for $18. I only use Energizer batteries for all my needs, unless special batteries are required.
