I bought these direct from Amazon. They are genuine Energizer brand. All tested to have correct voltage. Date code indicates that they were manufactured on 7-2019, and stamped expiration date is 12-2024. That’s good.My only complaint is the packaging, combined with Amazon’s shipping. The batteries are held in a paper carrier with thin shrink wrap. Amazon shipped them in an envelope. So naturally they got swung around like a rock in a sock, and the corners of the package all got smashed – so I had 4 batteries with smashed corners. Out of 8 batteries. That’s half of them. Fire the guy who thought this was good packaging. The good part is that the smashed batteries still work fine.

I prefer Energizers over other batteries – just an old bias and they haven’t let me down. This is a particularly good deal, twice what you’d get elsewhere, and they’ll give my smoke alarms plenty of juice to last.

I seem to use so many batteries! My ceiling fan remotes and smoke alarms all need 9v so I order larger packages. I was recently made aware that 9v batteries should be kept in their package until used and not loose. Once used and stored for recycle, you need to tape over the nodes so they cannot make contact and start a fire. These Energizer batteries last a year or more before needing to be replaced.

Ordered 9/2020 and have 2030 expiry dates, so unquestionably very fresh. Energizer Max seem to be the best performing overall from my experiences. I like this bulk presentation as I don’t want nor need the retail packaging. Shipped from and sold by Amazon so I believe they are authentic and not counterfeit.

I was skeptical about ordering this because of a few poor reviews. I myself was very happy with the purchase. I ordered the 9 volt 8 pack. The batteries came well packed and had an expiration date of 2025. I would purchase again.

I have been using Energizer batteries for many years now, and I’ve never had one leak on me. Duracell? Every time I’ve ever used one, they leaked. I hate them with a passion.Supposedly, leaking acid is a fairly normal phenomenon in non-lithium batteries due to a constant drain when they are empty – something that Duracell has proven to me with every darned one of their 9v batteries.I have never, ever had an Energizer leak in my remotes or in my guitars with active pickups. They last a very long time, too.

Each time the clocks are set forward for an hour in the Spring, and then set back in the Fall, I change the batteries in all our smoke detectors. Kitchen, living room, dining room, each bedroom, attic and workshop. Better safe than sorry. The price of the 9-volts batteries sold by Amazon can’t be met anywhere else. Definitely please with my purchase.

I’m not going to review the batteries, since they work just like any other high performance battery. What I am reviewing is the low impact packaging. The packaging is really good, but not perfect. The batteries are indeed housed in a cardboard box which is great, but…. there’s also a thin bit of plastic wrapping around it. I would have preferred a full box with some minimal adhesive instead as the plastic itself is the problem.Worse, but not the fault of the product at all, was this was sent in a huge plastic envelope which completely defeated the whole purpose of trying to buy a low environmental impact product.Overall, however, I’m pleased with this, and I need to remember when I order more that it needs to be paired with something that will avoid a plastic envelope.

I noticed that many of the negative reviews were written by people who purchased “discount” batteries, while those who bought directly from Amazon were positive. The reason is simple, the cheap batteries are cheap for a reason: they are either counterfeit or so old that they have discharged in storage. In contrast, many who got good batteries bought them directly from Amazon; so I did that, and they are all fresh and fully charged. As soon as I received my batteries in the mail I did two things. I checked the manufacture date, then I tested them.My batteries have a manufacture date from only 5 months ago, with a “use by” date 5 years in the future. And, when I tested them they were all fully charged. (See photographs)So yes, I will continue to buy batteries from Amazon, but only those sold directly by Amazon. The cheap batteries are cheap for a reason: they are duds, not deals.

These usually last me over a year in my smoke detectors, probably longer but I’m not really counting. Buying a bulk pack in 8 seems to be a lot cheaper than going to the store to get 2 at a time. 10/10 would recommend. I will say that the Energizers out performed the Duracells in price and longevity. I bought the AA/AAA and 9V all in one shot so I’m covered.
