I was looking for a kitchen island-type table, but didn’t want to pay a ton of $$, so (as per usual) I wandered onto Amazon and did a search, stumbling onto this item. For the price, I wasn’t sure what I’d ultimately be getting, but based on what others said, I decided to order it. It arrived last night, and I assembled it on my own in just over an hour or so (I probably could’ve done it in an hour flat if I’d really tried to hustle thru). The instructions were basic but easy to follow, and at no point did I get frustrated or confused (which is totally UNLIKE ME, when it comes to assembling furniture). Putting this thing together is just lining-up the right pieces, and then tightening screws with an allen wrench (which was provided) and a Phillips head screwdriver (not provided, so make sure you have one before you get to work). Once assembled, this thing feels really sturdy and solid. A good-quality affordable piece that isn’t hard to put together!

After spending weeks looking for a work table to use as an island in my kitchen, I purchased this item. Everything else I considered was so expensive, but this table is quite reasonably priced. It arrived sooner than I expected, and was packaged very well. The assembly was quick and easy – the only part that was a little tricky was the back panel for the drawer because the holes were drilled in the wrong place. Also, you will need a small Phillip’s head screwdriver. The other tool you need is the L-wrench, but that comes in the package. I did change out the hardware to burnished bronze to match my kitchen, instead of the chrome ones that come with the table. Plus, I used knobs instead of a towel bar so I could hang pot holders, etc. I am VERY pleased with this item and have already received compliments. It is sturdy, but not too heavy for me to move by myself. It is a bit taller than my countertops, but works well in my kitchen as an island. [One of the photos is before hardware]

I searched high and low for awhile to find a microwave stand that is deep enough to hold my larger microwave, toaster, and that has shelves for other items. For instance, small toaster oven, breadbox, and shelves for extra drinks on bottom shelf. Plus, it has a drawer for small items like the tiny toaster oven pans, recipes, and pot holders. Little towel bar on the side is nice too. This is the one! It’s perfect and beautiful! I bought the white and natural top and it’s smooth as silk. I put it together myself and although I can’t lift a whole lotta weight was able to put together and set it upright. I definitely recommend. It does not feel or look cheap and went together quick and seamlessly. Plus, I like I can run a quick dust mop underneath it without moving it.

Very nice sturdy table. The top is a nice hardwood, butcher block look to it. It is very heavy by itself. You would have to open the box and take pieces out if you want to carry them to another room or upstairs, but only the top is very heavy.I would say it took a while for me to put the table together but instructions were clear. Some of the screw holes were kind of stripped but since there was a match on the other side, it holds together fine. You use a hex key to turn the screws, and some are at an awkward angle, so you have to finagle that. Plus, the drawer slides were bent a bit, so I removed them and nudged them straighter with pliers. Then the drawer slid in okay. The drawer could be deeper. It can’t hold anything higher than a large can of cat food.Mine had a strong smell of paint so I had to air it out for a couple of days. I couldn’t put it in a small room right away because the fumes were too much. It dissipated in several days.I still love the size and overall sturdiness of it. It functions as a good kitchen table for appliances or in a bedroom for storage and multifunctions.

It is very sturdy. It is very well made. Compliments any kitchen. I was a little frightened when finishing this product and it was time to insert the drawer because reviews stated so many people had trouble putting the drawer in. Sure enough we were one of those that had a problem too. After an hour of trying to see what was wrong I found the solution. The right and left sides of the drawer was put in wrong. Directions show very little detail as to which is which. Easiest solution the little roller wheels on the drawers should be in the back of the drawer not the front. That makes the drawer balance perfectly on the tracts. No problem and drawer works easy.

I am shocked that I could buy a kitchen island for next to nothing and actually love it! I did pay about the same amount of money to have an Amazon expert come to my apartment and put it together for me, but when you factor that in, it’s still a great deal!!I am a pro baker and this island has really helped my efficiency in my small kitchen with very little counter space. There is plenty of room to put appliances & supplies on the two shelves, plus the drawer holds a lot!It is SO sturdy and I trust it not to come apart! I have not put my heavy pro 6-quart Kitchen Aid on it, as I am still using the counter for that, but I know it would be fine there!Look no further! This is a sturdy & stunning piece of furniture!!

Looks nice, seems reasonably sturdy for the intended moderate use. Larger than I had envisioned, but I was good with that. Will be using it as a stand-up laptop stand and for miscellaneous light storage. I might later cover the slats with a piece of Plexiglas. The wood used in the stand is of moderate quality. I ordered my unit in white and it was nicely painted, with just a few small flaws that did not bother me at all.The wood top is nice but I would not use it for anything that requires hammering, such as tenderizing meat. It is not a cutting board, either. The drawer is light-duty. The bottom is sort of a heavy cardboard, common at this furniture price point. Not a place to store cast-iron pans or large tools, though, because the bottom panel likely would sag or rip.In addition to the small hex wrench that comes with the unit (see below), you will need a small hammer to pound in the wooden plugs that cover the screw holes. You will also need a medium Phillips-head screwdriver. The hex wrench that is included was perfectly adequate, but it was hard to use (cramped area to turn in) when installing the table top. Instead, I used a ball-head hex wrench from this set, which made assembly much easier: Stanley Proto J4996 Round Head Hex Key Set-Metric, 9PCBefore assembly, I added wheels: Casoter 1.25″(32mm) L-Clip Plate Swivel Caster, Ball Bearing L-Shape Side Mount Plate TPE Rubber Wheel Metal Housing, 4 Pack Total Load Capacity 113Lbs/52Kg for Narrow Install.Additional notes:1) Some of the screws seated themselves too loosely and could not be tightened, but I don’t think it matters because of the design of the entire unit, with multiple attachment points.2) As with all assemble-it-yourself furniture, screw the fasteners in firmly, but stop when you feel significant resistance — or the receiving hole may get stripped.3) The wooden plugs need to be hammered it, but that dents them and may leave a dark mark. on the head of the plug. Did not matter one bit to me, though. Come to think of it, I could have covered the plug with a towel so the hammer did not leave a mark.4) Unlike some makers of do-it-yourself furniture, this manufacturer does not include any extra screws in anticipation that some may be damaged or roll somewhere where you cannot get at them. So be careful when you open the red plastic bags so nothing rolls away or gets lost.5) I thought the chrome handles looked cheap, but that is just me. I ordered some colorful plastic handles just to brighten it up a bit. The drawer handle is 5 inches, hole-to-hole. The side handle (for a towel?) is 10 inches, hole to hole.

This is an extremely sturdy and high quality high top table that doubles as an island and storage module. Assembly was very easy. The drawer is a decent size but doesn’t feel like it could hold much more than, say, 5 lbs. It glides nicely though and stays on the track no problem. I like that there is two Shelves for storage. They are decent height- can fit a cookie sheet on its side easily. Overall very satisfied with this. I shopped for an island for over a year before this one popped up and it seems this was a very good value for this type of item (I paid ~150). Only con was it took nearly two months to arrive due to back order. Worth the wait!! See photos, especially of drawer.

Pros:–Excellent quality solid wood base and top.–Easy to put together*–Very sturdy–Despite many negative reviews, the drawer fit together perfectly and into the unit perfectly–Beautiful & functionalCons:–*Instructions could have been clearer, especially for assembling the drawer, which I assembled backwards the first time & had to take apart and reassemble. Overall, this took me (69-year-old 90-pound female) only about an hour to assemble by myself.–Drawer catches on something when sliding out. I have to lift it slightly to pull it all the way out–A little taller (height) than I would like by about 1 to1.5 inches, but this is not a bad thing for everyone. I’m only 5 feet tall.–Would have preferred an option of black base with butcher-block top, but the dark cherry top on this unit is beautiful, just not my preference.Overall, I love this unit. I’ve been looking for an island for about 4 months, and finally decided on this one because it is the perfect size for my kitchen, got good reviews, and is made of solid wood. It competes with units I saw in person for twice this price at Ikea.I have brand-new laminate floors, so I put felt pads under each leg to protect my floors in the event I want to move the unit.

Love this Kitchen cart. I bought it for my brother’s apt. We were able to fit his microwave, food processor, blender and toaster on the counter. The drawer is very spacious and it’s a great height. It was also easy to assemble. One tip when screwing the counter top, do not tighten the screws all the way, because the rest of the holes will be misaligned.
