I can’t objectively measure these batteries with test equipment, but I can tell you that I’ve gone through a 48 pack since June 22, 2016, and they hold up as well as the Kirkland and Duracells I used previously. I read countless reviews here on different brands after I decided there must be a good alternative to those aforementioned brands, and indeed, I’ve found it with these solid AC Delcos. These last as long, maybe longer than Kirklands/Duracells. And, most importantly: THESE AC DELCO BATTERIES DO NOT LEAK. That’s why I, and probably you too if you’re reading this, got away from those other brands. Most assuredly, in the 15 months since I started using these in headlamps and flashlights, I would have had at least a few leakers from Kirkland or Duracell batteries. I use all sorts of CREE lights for my kids and me plus I lend flashlights to fellow Scouts on camp outs. They get used pretty heavily and I leave the batteries in the lamps until I put fresh ones before the next camp out if they finally start to dim. This is begging for a leak, leaving mostly-drained batteries in a device for months — but not one has failed me yet.I just hope I didn’t jinx myself for bragging about how good these are. I promise I’ll update my review if I get a leaker with these of with the AA batteries I’m about to order.

It’s so annoying not have fresh batteries for that remote, or mouse, keyboard, toy, etc. Buying them a big quantity like this seems to help make sure I have some on hand when needed. I just use them for general use, and it might take me a while to go through them. So if they are the most powerful/longest lasting battery I really couldn’t say. But they don’t seem to leak, and they appear to keep a charge until I’m ready to use them. I’ve had other battery brands that I didn’t like, because they’d leak or were just to pitiful they wouldn’t power a device very long. These seem to work well, for me.

I couldn’t find a review stating the tested capacity of the leading AAA batteries on Amazon, so I took it upon myself to find out. For each of the 6 types I’ve tested (ACDelco, AmazonBasics, Duracell Coppertop, Duracell Procell, Energizer, and Rayovac), I discharged 3 batteries in my Opus BT-C2000 battery analyzer at rates of 100 ma, 200 ma, and 400 ma (discharge rate affects usable capacity). These ACDelco batteries were among the top in capacity, and stomped EVERY other battery in terms of value, with AmazonBasics as a runner-up.The capacity at each discharge rate was:Disch Rt | Capacity | Runtime | Sample use case100 mA | 1005 mAh | 10.1 hrs | Low-power LED flashlight200 mA | 864 mAh | 4.3 hrs | Electronic toy / medium LED flashlight400 mA | 670 mAh | 1.7 hrs | Motorized toy / bright LED flashlightI ran the ACDelco batteries first, and my original review I stated that “Though not top-notch, these results are perfectly respectable”. Well, since then I’ve run 5 more brands, and these are pretty close to top-notch. The only other brand that managed to beat them in ANY category was AmazonBasics, but really AmazonBasics and ACDelco were at the top of the stack and the differences were probably within the margin of error. Put simply: these batteries pack a lot of punch, and they’re cheap. For the cost (~$10 as of this writing), these are an excellent value — the power supplied per dollar spent is nearly unbeatable for a non-rechargeable aaa battery, AND the capacity is very nearly the best I’ve tested.I have not tested shelf life or leak resistance for any of the batteries in my roundup, so it’s possible that some of the other batteries may do better in that regard. The one thing I *have* learned is that a battery’s marketing has nothing to do with its actual performance for power capacity … assuming that the same is true for storage, you’ll have to wait until somebody runs a thorough leak and storage test to know which brand is best.I have posted reviews for Duracell Procell, Duracell Coppertop, Energizer, and AmazonBasics aaa alkaline batteries with capacity data gathered using the exact same method and equipment. I have attached a graph and table summarizing the results in the images. To find the full reviews for the other brands for comparison purposes, go to the product pages linked below and search for ‘mah’ under ‘all reviews’ (or just browse to them on my profile). Duracell and Energizer are the best batteries. It’s like Fluke multimeters, Gibson Les Paul guitars, Porsche cars, Kitchenaid mixers, and Bombas socks. There are just some products that are better than most, and we pay a premium price for them. Then there are the products that are a step below these that are still high quality but not top tier premium. That’s where AC Delco batteries come into the picture. I’ve never had a problem with any size of AC Delco battery. They last long, don’t leak, and are priced fair. Plus they have been on the market for years, so they are known quality.

Our household goes through AA and AAA batteries like crazy. With a dozen remotes, another dozen game controllers, numerous flashlights and headlights, bicycle lights, and toys … lots and lots of battery operated kids toys. I seem to be the battery supplier here, I suppose that is Grandma’s job, parents are too busy to remember. Sooo, I try to keep a good supply at all times.Having lived in a country where battery prices were quite low – for brand name – moving back to the US brought a bit of sticker shock (Esp since most products were more expensive in the other country). I’d been buying at a local discount store, but still paying $12 for 16 batteries. I finally found boxes of 48 batteries for $21 … still expensive. Not sure why I hadn’t thought to look on Amazon. Once I did, I started reading through reviews of all brands, and especially those more technical reviews where the top brands were compared. Based on those reviews, I decided to try these.I am very satisfied. These batteries are lasting at least as long as other top brands in all the same devices I had used other brands in. Some mentioned that in game controllers, they don’t last — my experience is that they last as long as other brands do in the controllers with the same kind of use. Same with remotes, computer mice, flashlights and even RC toys. I have no complaints, and will continue to purchase ACDelco Super Alkaline batteries from now on.

Powerful Lasted longer than Rayovac, Vivitar, Sony and Sunbeam. 10.$/48 count came out the cheapest . I’ll always trust AC Delco batteriesto be the best buy among batteries.7/20/15 2nd order came at same price . This is really the best deal there is, and AC Delco is a strong brand battery. I tested DO it Hardware and Walgreens and Harbor Freight generic alkaline batteries along the way and AC Delco really stays the longest above the 1.40 V measure. That;s what I consider a battery to be able to still run a motorized toy at full performance. Anything below 1.30v is practically dead for my purpose but it still works for clocks and thermometers. Staying high-powered longer and being at the most inexpensive level is what a best-buy battery is to me.BTW I use three kinds of testers. One’s digital, the two are rough but reliable green/red meters with rough graduations.

The AC Delco brand is familiar to anyone who has dabbled at all in car parts, and it has a longtime connection with General Motors. I’ve used their household batteries before and liked them, so when I needed AAA’s, I looked for these. These ones are labeled as “Super Alkaline”, so I expect good service from them. My only wish is that they were dated like some other alkaline batteries, but I can’t find a “best by” date anywhere on the packaging or the batteries themselves. They state that they have a 10-year guarantee, suggesting a 10-year shelf life, so I guess they don’t consider an out date necessary. The batteries come in a cardboard package, with the batteries themselves packaged in 4-packs. The ones I tested showed good power and appeared to be fresh. These seem to be good quality and good value, and they get my recommendation.

Always need these batteries as I use the type of lights that have a cork holding triple AAA battery that you can either set in a bottle top and light within the bottle or tuck cork in a bowl with seasonal ornaments, pine cones etc. A battery lasts roughly 3 days in those if left on. We all need batteries right?! Someday I may actually TIME longevity in comparison to other brands but I have not noticed a huge difference as of yet- as long as they comeo out of the box fully working in the first place . So far they have been ready and willing to light up my world one way or another, dependably.

These have been a delight! I have kids with controllers and gadgets of all types that needed a constant supply of batteries. As soon as I’d buy a “jumbo” pack at the big box store, I’d be out again. If you have kids, you need this. From babies through teens, your kids will never stop needing these batteries, so just stock up and be prepared. Also, these are less than a quarter each! The big box stores charge you about a buck a battery, and the grocery and convenience stores will help themselves to your wallet at around $2 each. But are you getting less for you money? No, these are just as good, if not better! I haven’t tested it scientifically, but these have seemed to last better than the copper/energetic brands. I have zero complaints. I love the snap-shut bin they come in. I just keep it on the shelf in my closet. I haven’t had any leakage, except the one my youngest son blew up. But that was completely user error/abuse and not recommended. Don’t ask.Do you have flashlights, toys, remotes, wireless mouse/keyboards, head sets, thermometers, or smoke detectors that take AA batteries? Buy this box. You’ll be glad you did.

    Big Weave

I honestly find it quite ‘gimmicky’ that the AC-Delco name is used on blister packed single use retail batteries, but gimmick or not–I gave them a try a few years back and have been brand loyal ever since! Having previously worked in the electrical industry where I had wholesale pricing available for industrial alkaline batteries, I have not been a fan of the big-name retail brands you see in the brick & mortar stores that carry a premium price tag. Based on the reviews of other Amazon users, I gave the AC-Delco batteries a go and have been very pleased with the longevity of these batteries in extended storage (emergency flashlights) as well as high drain applications (digital cameras). Also of note: I have had ZERO issue with leakage in storage nor in any of the aforementioned applications. I continue to purchase this line of batteries when needed and would encourage anyone else to give them a try as I consider the AC-Delco battery line to be an outstanding value!
