I have bought two of these, the first several months ago and the 2end for Xmas. Considering the cost of cat trees, I believe this is a fair deal. Not hard to put together and my cats love it. It is true that the carpet can be scratched (clawed) off with a lot of use but that is an easy fix by wrapping it with jute rope from the hardware store (can also be bought here). The most important thing is that the cats love it. I have placed the second one next to the first and turned the platforms at the top so they touch each other and make a larger platform for lounging. I also spaced the bottom and second shelves two poles (the ones you screw together) apart so the cat must climb to get to the top instead of just walking up shelf to shelf. I do not find that a cats weight is bending or breaking the shelves at all but can see how a human might cause that damage. I have these by my dining room glass sliding doors and have used thin jute line to tie them to the curtain rod for extra stability, my guy comes flying up it at full speed :) One of the beauties of these is that they do not take up much space.

KNOCK -OFF PRODUCT OR JUST PLAIN DEFECTIVE.With 4 cats, I buy this style climbing tree about twice a year for the past 8 years (16 total purchases). My cats really like the ones I have purchased at my local Walmart It was a huge mistake to buy this one on amazon because it must be either a knock-off or defectsive. Once assembled, one of my cats went to play on it and it bowed. The spring inside the top piece is so weak that the unit will not stay straight upright!I am so disappointed, as are my cats! The photo shows the horrible quality of this product on the day it was delivered and assembled!I am contacting the seller and will update this reviewUPDATEI exchanged the defective one and received the replacement about a week later. The replacement is 5-Stars. Cats are happy again. The replacement has a much stronger spring which is keeping the floor to ceiling climbing tree upright as it should be.

Ok, I had lower expectations of this thing because of how cheap it is… I was so surprised when I got it! It works great. It’s sturdy and a nice size. I got it so my cat would have an escape from the pitbull after we got a storage bed she could no longer hide underneath. It’s taller than the picture with the lady standing next to it suggests. I need to get some pics soon. It went together easily. It took a little patience to get the spring loaded part to fit to my ceiling, but now that it’s there, it was worth the effort. It does make a bit of a rattling noise when the cat is being extra playful and rambunctious on it. Who cares, I’m so glad she uses it. She even sleeps up there sometimes. Great purchase – especially for the price. It fits well in this small corner where a standard tower would not have fit.

The media could not be loaded. I don’t know what it is about this design, but it makes my cats crazy. This is our second one as they loved the first so much that it broke (the one flaw is that my cats are stronger that the tension). We have another, much more elaborate cat condo with all the perches, ramps, boxes & dangly toys, and while they do use that one, they prefer this one. For whatever reason it makes them act like they’re on a catnip high (is it infused with catnip? Don’t remember reading that.). They love to race up it, then lay on their sides on the platforms and use their claws to fling themselves in circles around the post. They’ve actually flung themselves off it in their frenzy. I wish the tension was stronger because they enjoy launching themselves from the top onto the sofa, and when the chunkiest one does this she knocks it over.Buy this thing not just for your cats’ amusement, but yours as well. Just don’t put it near anything breakable.

It’s a great value. It’s inexpensive but pretty solid. Like others noted, the bottoms of the platforms are ugly brown particle board but that’s easily fixed with a coat of paint. I also wrapped sisal around one of the posts and might do another. I have since ordered the three balls on springs that screw into the provided holes and I might attach a bed later (just not the one that is sold for this). The instructions are a mess. If you’re like me and have 8′ ceilings, none of the if this then this statements logically or mathematically work. So for 8′ ceilings, cut one of the white PVC tubes down by 4.5″, and ignore the other PVC pipe and the joining tube thing.

Had one like this over 20 years ago that my cats back then loved. It did eventually wear out and for years I could not find another. Enter 2021 and Amazon. Now I have two kittens that are indoor only pets. I found this one here and bought it right away. Set up isn’t hard, but if you are short, get your stool or kitchen ladder out. I set this up in our living room and my 2 boys love this so much I have ordered another one to set up by the dining room window so that they can watch birds and critters in the back yard as well. Well worth the money, saves your furniture and endless entertainment.

I’ve owned 3 of these. Cats love it. Unlike other cat tree products, within minutes your cat will be all over it. Sure it’s minimal compared to most cat trees, but the value you get from cost to cat entertainment makes this a great investment. Cats love to be up high and near a window. And they will play king of the pole until their little kitty hearts are content. These pictures were all taken within 5 minutes of construction. It’s very easy to put together and construction will take less than 10 minutes if you can keep your cats off it for that long. It only looks nice for a year if you have crazy hyper high energy cats like mine. But I blame it on my cats and not the product. I’ve actually bought a backup to replace the cylinders as they get shredded to keep it looking nice and like furniture. Again, I’d rather buy these than new couches every year. Can’t stress that enough.

While this is no artisan-driftwood, ultra-durable cat condo, this has held up much better than we anticipated for the price, and our cat(s) love it. We got it 4 months ago when we only had one cat (pictured), and it quickly became one of his favorite spots. We were worried that the tension based system wouldn’t be sufficient for stabilization, but found as long as one edge of the middle platform was against the wall, this worked just fine for our lanky boy– we did not have to add additional wall anchoring as other reviewers have noted. The carpet was holding up well to his scratching, too.The tree has taken more of a beating since we received three additional foster cats. Once they warmed up enough to visit the living room, the tree became the favored scratching post of the 4 offered. One of the foster kitties is a wonderfully Chonky Boi with very healthy claws, and the carpeting on the bottom segment was NOT standing up to his scratching. Like other reviewers, we found an easy solution in wrapping this bottom segment in sisal rope, which both solves the durability issue, and makes it fit our #aesthetic a little more to boot. We’d definitely buy this one again when it finally wears out given the price point, how little floor space it takes up, and how much all the cats like it. We’re considering adding a second one, and would definitely get one of these before an alternative model given the small footprint.

I have 3 of these cat trees & 4 cats. Of all the cat trees in the house, these are their favorite by far. (I had one and bought 2 more because if it.) One of my cats is 25 lbs he is the only one that challenges the staibility of the tree. It wiggles pretty hard but so far the spring in the ceiling has done its job. I love how easy they are to put together. Even if my big cat breaks one, i will buy another. They just love them more than anything else i have ever gotten them and the price point works for me.

My cat, like most cats, is like a 2 year old with ability to climb and jump to high places. He really enjoys this, he is 14 pounds and does get a little wild on it, so to help him feel more secure, I added reinforcements from the hardware store to make it more sturdy.update:I recently added a larger board from another condo (see picture) so that he could lay on it, as he is a long cat.
